This artificial island is famous for its contemporary architecture and used to be one of Amsterdam's harbourfronts. 2007 saw the
arrival of The Wall on the Java-eiland. The Wall is for a graffiti-artist like canvas for a painter: it is there to be created upon.
Many graffiti-artists leave more than just a tag on The Wall and the skateboardpark it stands on.
